How To Make A Meal Salad

Are you bored with your salads? Have you tried turning them into a meal salad?   Funnily enough, my husband got me into meal salads!  He loves them so much, that he was them twice weekly.  Even our picky teenage son loves my taco salad which is a great meal salad too, so I make it often for him. Meal salads are easy enough to switch up so you don’t get bored, you can add a different grain or plant-based protein of your choice to keep things interesting and satisfy your tastebuds. The best part is, you can use…

Homemade Cracker Recipe

This is my favourite cracker recipe hands down!  I don’t have much of a savoury tooth, mine is definitely a sweet tooth, but sometimes I need salt and something not so sweet.  Enter homemade crackers!  This is such a nourishing recipe, I make tons of variations, but this is still my favourite one.  My favourite flavours are BBQ and Dill… so far my BBQ flavour hasn’t worked out too well yet, but I will master it, I’m determined.  So for now this is still my favourite.  Dill.  It literally tastes like dill chips, without any guilt and is surprisingly filling.…

Quick Buddha Bowl Recipe

You know I love me a quick dinner prep, well this is one for the books.  Buddha bowls are a great way to get in your veggies for supper, a good hearty quick meal that doesn’t take a lot of time to prep, about 15 minutes total plus cooking time. Cooked Buddha bowls are just a full rounded bowl of veggies… basically a sheet pan dinner put in a bowl with a sauce over top, including a grain or protein and lots of mixed veggies. This is one I just made recently, and it was absolutely delicious that…

I’ll share a story with you, this is the one where my expectations of my father bit me hard. The worst day of my life… On my son’s 13th birthday, he was chatting…

Quick Fall Snack Recipe

Fall is upon us.  Unfortunately I am not a fan of sweater weather or the fact that winter is coming soon.  One of the main reason is that summer fruits are no longer available to me, I live in Alberta Canada where we pretty much have two seasons, fall and winter, albeit this summer we actually had one and it was wonderfully warm. I was enjoying eating 2 watermelons, 4 pineapples, 6 lbs of strawberries and 24 bananas every week not to mention adding in peaches, mangoes, lychees, kiwis and blueberries when they were available, for the entire summer.…
